There is plenty for the watersports enthusiast on the Llŷn Peninsula with nearly 100 miles of coastline.

The diversity of the coastline means that there are suitable beaches, facilities and conditions for a wide range of activities including surfing, wind-surfing, kite surfing, scuba diving, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing and sailing.

Nefyn and District golf course is situated on a beautiful site with amazing views. Following the Ryder Cup competition in 2010 when photos of the course were beamed around the world, Nefyn course has become the iconic image for golf in Wales.

Walking The Coastal Path

Nearly a quarter of the Welsh coastline is in Gwynedd, and the Llyn Coastal Path is 95 miles long.

The terrain is varied with coves and beaches below interesting cliffs and a view of Snowdonia to the east as well as the Irish Sea to the west.

You may spot bottle-nosed dolphins and Atlantic grey seals in the coastal waters. or even stonechats, goldfinches, and sand martins in the dunes.

Visit Bardsey Island - Ynys Enlli

Bardsey Island , the legendary "Island of 20,000 saints", lies 1.9 miles (3.1 km) off Aberdaron and It is the fourth largest offshore island in Wales..

The island is famous for its wildlife and rugged scenery. It is a nesting place for Manx shearwaters and choughs, and it is one of the best places in Gwynedd to see grey seals, dolphins and porpoises.

Boat trips are available from Aberdaron.
